Answer Board and Social Searching

I think this is a great service that I imagine would be widely used by alot of remote people with access to the Internet. For students trying to find the right answer for a question seeing that a librarian or library professional has posted an answer they know that the reference work has been done.

I guess that's good when a librarian does answer the question (by "slamming the boards"). But I wonder if the people using these answerboards actually know about state and public libraries and services like Ask-a-Librarian? I think there's some challenges there in terms of promotion.
